Lynnwood woman's overseas charity gets national honor

KING 5 of Seattle featured Child United and all the work the organization has accomplished. Founder Christine Umayam was recognized by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society in 2011 making her the only woman in Washington State with the honor.

Her dedication to children was recognized by Washington State’s Attorney General Rob McKenna noting, “Your journey and your accomplishments are truly inspiring. I know these achievements are also made possibly through the efforts of your colleagues at Child United and I hope you will pass my appreciation along to them.”
