SEATTLE – Child United accomplished more than you’ll ever know in our latest disaster relief mission in the Philippines.

After Typhoon Haiyan devastated much of the central Philippines in Nov. 2014, Child United was there to provide disaster relief. Thanks to all of our supporters in Washington and Montana! A big container filled with donations reached Cebu where a team of Child United volunteers sorted and packed for distribution to victims.

The team of volunteers traveled to the Philippines in February and distributed the donations to the following areas:

Bantayan Island in Cebu Camotes Island in Cebu Tacloban and surrounding areas in Leyte (hardest hit region) Ormoc City in Leyte Bohol (devastated by earthquake in Oct. 2013)

Medical supplies and aid reached an evacuation center in Cebu City, orphanage for disabled children, an adult care facility and hospitals.

In addition, rebuilding supplies were purchased and distributed to victims living in Bantayan Island, Camotes Island and Ormoc City.

In all, Child United helped thousands of survivors during this last disaster mission. All of this would not have been done without the heart and support of the community and caring people just like yourself. We can’t thank you enough for your overwhelming support.

In the next few months, Child United will be putting together an event to thank you all in person. Please let us know if you would like a personal invitation to the event by contacting us on our website.
